Human Quirks
Human Quirks is a project to research methods of developing, testing, and hosting AI systems to gain insight into how consuming specific AI tools may impact our collective livelihood and individual experiences.
Our findings will appear as any of the following: software, diagrams, formulas, algorithms data, memos, scientific research hardware, and open-source information.
The Prototype
This section describes an apparatus we will use to understand and build safe and trustworthy AI systems. For the diagram below, we define a quirk as a "peculiar characteristic involving Human physiology, temperament, structure or behavior." We hypothesize that to build safe and trustworthy AI systems, we must pay attention to when Human quirks and AI systems interact. In this model, interactions are represented as 'collisions' between a quirk and the interface of one or more specific AI systems.
